Small-batch raw honey

Never heated.
Never filtered.

Just honey, exactly the way the hive made it.

Peptide Buzz is raw, unpasteurized honey pulled from single-origin apiaries and poured straight into glass. No heat, no fine filters, and nothing blended in that is not honey. What the bees made is what lands on your counter.

The honey

Three jars, three seasons

Every varietal is a single harvest from a single set of hives, so no two seasons taste the same. We would rather sell out of one than blend it into something average.

Wildflower Reserve
Spring harvest

Wildflower Reserve

Our everyday jar and the one people reorder most. Hives sit on open meadow, so the flavor shifts a little every season and we let it.

Tasting notes: Warm amber, soft floral, a faint citrus finish

Orange Blossom
Early summer

Orange Blossom

Pale gold and unusually delicate. The one to reach for when you want the honey to lift a cup of tea rather than take it over.

Tasting notes: Light, bright, gentle citrus blossom

Raw Buckwheat
Late season

Raw Buckwheat

Dark as molasses and nothing like the honey most people know. Bold enough to stand up to cheese, coffee, and a good rye bread.

Tasting notes: Malty, deep, a little savory on the finish

How it is made

Four steps, no shortcuts

Most honey on a shelf has been warmed to make it pour and pushed through a fine filter to make it clear. Both are done for the bottling line, not for you. We skip both.

01

Placed

Hives go on certified organic land with a real forage line, well away from sprayed row crops.

02

Watched

Every hive gets walked through the season. We pull frames only when the comb is capped and ready.

03

Cold extracted

Frames are spun at hive temperature. Nothing is warmed to speed it up, because heat is what strips honey down.

04

Poured

One pass through a coarse mesh to catch wax, then straight into glass and sealed the same day.

Our story

Third generation, same stubborn method

Dale Whitcomb learned to work a hive standing on an overturned crate next to his grandfather, who kept twelve colonies and sold what the family did not eat. The rule then was simple. If you have to cook it to sell it, you are selling the wrong thing.

Peptide Buzz got its name from that rule. Raw honey is more than sugar. It carries the enzymes, amino acids and trace proteins the hive put there, and heat and fine filtering are what take them out. We named the company after the part of honey the industry cooks away.

What people say

Reordered, not just tried

★ ★ ★ ★ ★

I stopped buying honey at the store about two years ago and have not looked back. The wildflower jar tastes different every spring, which is the whole point.

We put the buckwheat on the cheese board and it does half the work for us. Guests ask about it every single service.

Reliable, honest product and the standing case order has never once been late. My customers can taste that it was not cooked.

Questions

Good to know

What actually makes honey raw?

Two things, and both are about what we do not do. The honey is never warmed above the temperature inside the hive, and it is never pushed through a fine filter. One pass through a coarse mesh takes out wax and nothing else.

Why did my jar turn solid?

That is crystallization, and it is a good sign. Raw honey sets up over time, faster in a cold kitchen. Stand the jar in warm water for a few minutes and it loosens right back up. Do not microwave it.

Why is the company called Peptide Buzz?

Honey is not only sugar. It carries enzymes, amino acids and trace proteins from the hive, and heat and fine filtering are what remove them. We named the company after the part of honey most processing takes out.

Is the honey certified organic?

Yes. Every apiary sits on certified organic land with a documented forage line, and the yards are inspected on the same schedule as the land they sit on.

Do you sell wholesale?

We do. Cases, standing monthly orders and custom label printing are all available. Reach out with the volume you have in mind and we will put numbers together.

How do I place an order?

Tell us the varietal, the jar size and the quantity, and we will confirm availability and send an invoice. Orders ship nationwide, packed to arrive unbroken.
